Morpheus8 is a deep fractional, radiofrequency treatment that delivers exceptional skin, tissue and collagen remodeling to improve skin appearance and reduce irregularities. The needles are inserted into the skin and deliver the radiofrequency energy.

This tightens the skin, reduces laxity, smoothes the skin and even remodels fat (e.g under the chin). The treatment is bespoke to you and we can adjust all settings, depths and strengths to suit your needs.

Best results are seen around 3-6 months post treatment.

The following are contra-indications for undergoing the treatment.

• Pregnancy
• Broken/sore Skin
• Active Acne/Acne Rosacea
• Cardiac implants/Defib/Pacemaker
• Sunbed User/Facial Subathing
• Loose metal implants at site of treatment
• Bleeding disorders
• Smokers/High Alcohol intake will have a poor treatment outcome

The skin is medically cleansed and a topical anaesthetic cream is applied for 30 minutes.

The device is then placed onto the treatment area, the needles enter the skin quickly to deliver the treatment. This can be uncomfortable but your Doctor can adjust the settings to suit your needs.

Positive effects from the procedure continue to improve for up to three months after each treatment. Follow up treatments are usually every four weeks depending on the individual patient, our cosmetics doctors will provide you with additional information on follow up during your consultation.

Common side effects are slight redness, temporary red marks, swelling and mild bruising. This usually lasts 1-4 days.

Do not have the treatment if you have had facial fillers or Sculptra/Ellanse in the last 8 weeks. Please wait 6 months after facial thread lifts. We do not advise Morpheus over any recent superficial filler. Please ask us for advice.

Patients with bleeding disorders, immune issues, active acne and pregnancy may not be suitable for the procedure, please contact us for more information.

Morpheus has minimal downtime (if any).

To gain the best results from your treatment, please follow the aftercare plan below.

• Stop your retinol cream 3-5 days before and after treatment to minimise
• Mild redness, red marks, tightness and flushing after treatment is normal. Small bumps may remain for several weeks and this is normal.
• Wash your hands regularly and avoid touching the treated area. This reduces the risk of infection.
• Occasionally mild swelling or bruising may occur. This will settle after 1-4 days. An anti-histamine tablet may help swelling and arnica cream/tablets can be used to help bruising.
• Avoid direct UV exposure, saunas, steam rooms and vigorous exercise for 48 hours.
• If required – wash the treated area gently with tepid water for the first day and pat dry gently.
• On day 2 you can cleanse as normal and apply your sheet mask (provided in clinic). This helps to moisturise and calm the skin.
• Ensure to liberally apply the UV protect 30-50 cream. Reapply spf 2 hourly and cover up if outdoors.
• Apply pHformula recovery cream regularly from day 2 and if desired return to wearing make-up after 1-2 days.
• If prone to pigmentation, ensure to use the mela serum regularly pre and post treatment.
• Avoid alcohol or strong acid based facial products for 5-7 days, depending on skin sensitivity.
• Wear a hat, scarf/sunglasses after your treatment and avoid direct sun exposure and do not use sun tanning beds.
